Who is God? Jemand schickte mir einen Link zu diesem Video mit der Frage: Was hältst du davon? Oder die Kirche? Ganz schön schwierige Frage: Wer ist Gott?
Letztlich geht es fast in der ganzen Bibel nur um diese eine Frage: Wer ist Gott? Die vielen Menschen, die an der Entstehung der Bibel beteiligt waren, haben sie immer wieder mit unterschiedlichen Betonungen für sich beantwortet. Gott ist der König, der über die Welt herrscht. Gott ist die Mutter, die sich liebevoll um ihre Kinder kümmert. Gott ist die Quelle, aus der wahres Leben entspringt. Gott ist der Fels, der uns sicheren Untergrund bietet. Gott ist der Richter, vor dem wir eines Tages stehen werden, und vor dem wir nichts verstecken können. Gott ist der Verteidiger, der für uns eintritt am Tag des Gerichts.
Aus rein relgionswissenschaftlicher Sicht müsste ich sagen: Die Beschreibung von Gott in diesem Video passt eigentlich eher zu den Naturreligionen: Gott als eine natürliche Kraft, die irgendwie allem innewohnt. Aber natürlich stimmt das irgendwie auch. Gott, der alles in der Hand hat, der ist auch überall in der ganzen Welt. Aber ich glaube, Gott ist noch mehr als das. Gott ist – wie soll man das ausdrücken? - nicht nur eine Kraft, die irgendwie in allem steckt. Er-Sie-Es ist eine Persönlichkeit. Gott leidet, freut sich, hofft und bangt. Er gibt sich ganz und gar hinein in unser menschliches Leben. Eines daran werden wir wohl nie verstehen: Warum dieser Gott, wenn er doch Gott ist, nicht manche Dinge ändert. Warum er manches Leid nicht einfach abschafft. Den Hunger auf der Welt, die Verfolgungen, die Gaskammern. Den Krebs. Erdbeben und Kriege. Wo ist da Gott? 
Das, glaube ich, ist gut ausgedrückt in diesem Video. Gott ist der Tiger, der das Wild tötet. Gott ist das Wild, das den Tiger ernährt. Gott ist das Gras, das das Wild ernährt.
Unser Gott ist einer, der nicht immer auf der Seite der Starken steht. Er ist gerade auch in den Schwachen. Jesus hat es uns gezeigt: Statt mit Waffen und Gewalt gegen die Römer vorzugehen, wie viele es von ihm erhofft hatten, hat er alles über sich ergehen lassen. Hat gelitten, ist sogar gestorben am Kreuz.
Wer ist Gott?
Letztlich muss diese Frage jeder und jede für sich beantworten.
Für mich ist Gott mehr als diese Welt. Größer als alles, das wir kennen. Anfang und Ende des Universums. Und doch macht er sich so klein, dass wir Menschen ihn verstehen können, wenigstens ansatzweise. Er kommt zu uns. Lebt mit uns, leidet mit uns, freut sich mit uns. Macht sich klein, um uns groß zu machen. Ich glaube, das ist noch viel mehr als diese zugegeben schöne Vorstellung in diesem Video.
 

Who Is God?
God is One. God is love. God is you. God is Me. God is the infinite intelligence that pervades all reality. God is the voice that whispers the truth in your heart. God is the eternal mother of 10,000 things. God is the unmanifested father of all eternity. 

God is the sun that holds the planets with invisible force. God is the moon that pulls all the oceans into tides and flow. God is all the heavenly bodies that influence our body chemistry. God is the dancing electron at the heart of every body. 

Who is God? 
God is You. God is me. God is everyone and every body. God is the tiger who kills the deer, God is the deer who nourishes the tiger. God is the grass that feeds the deer. God is the tiger who dies into the earth to nourish the grass. God is all that your eyes can see. God is all that your heart can feel. God is the all around you. God is inside of you. 

If you want to see God, look into the eyes of another human being. If you want to hear God, listen to the voice of the birds. If you want to touch God, touch someone you deeply love, someone you are willing to die for because their happiness is your happiness, if you touch that person, you will have touched God. If you want to feel God, feel your deepest driving desires. It is God speaking through you, asking you to take a step forward towards your personal destiny. 

When you are lonely, know that God is inside of you, feeling your loneliness. When you are helpless, know that God is inside of you feeling your helplessness. When you cry out for help looking up in the sky, know that God is saying "but I AM YOU, I am inside of you, all you need to do is trust your self, you have the powers right there, all you need to do is believe in it". When you say "God show me your presence", God comes to you in 10,000 bodies talking to you directly, but most of the time we are busy looking at somewhere else hoping god would say something. 

Who is God? 
God is You. God is me. God is your lover. God is your enemy. God is the father that holds all the universes. God is the mother who manifests in 10,000 things. God is everyone, god is everything. God is all around. That is why god is invisible. Because God... IS!
